Jefferey Spivey is a freelance writer and editor with more than 18 years of experience.
In 2001, he published his first professional journalism piece at 16 years old – a political op-ed in the Pensacola News Journal. From there, he went on to become a political columnist for the Navarre Press, contributing writer for the St. Augustine Record, and editor-in-chief of the Flagler College newspaper, The Gargoyle.
Today, Jefferey specializes in powerful web content for small businesses, startups, and online publications. His work was recently featured in McCall Life, Parks & Rec Business, and Pathfinders Travel magazines, and he wrote Fiverr’s 2019 small business playbook, Start the Year Strong. He also self-published a collection of personal essays, It’s Okay If You Don’t Read Everything, in 2016 and was named a semifinalist in the MACRO Episodic Lab Screenwriting Competition in 2018.
Currently, he’s shopping a literary fiction short story titled “Sugarplums”.
He lives in Bentonville, Arkansas with his husband Jairo and their dog Flower.
